idk if y’all ever get glimpses into the culture of 16-27 year old men on your tiktok but it’s incredibly bleak

all of the content creators they watch are very anti-social. They use poor people as entertainment - shitty annoying pranks, paying people to be a zoo animal in some degrading gameshow, humiliating them in interviews or other crap, constantly reacting to “abnormal” people by bullying them for laughs

They teach men how to become a fuckboi and drown by being manipulative and vapid (appearing to have high social status, flexing wealth) instead of just being a good person

I used tiktok for like a month and all i had was rez guys getting excited about grocery store fried chicken and making fun of some of the clapped out cars you would see in driveways. Thankfully, the app is too annoying and too fast for my mind.

Breadtube if it didn’t suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It’s open submission unless there’s something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it’s currently in.
