I hope they’re not conscripted. That would be a horrible and cruel move by the Russian government to accept refugees of war and turn around and send them right back to war.

I’ll eat my hat if they’re conscripted. The Russian government is not full of morons. The people who take them up on the offer are more valuable as enthusiastic volunteer spokespeople than draftees.

It would also be really stupid strategically. Russia has enough guys and doesn’t need to draft refugees from.the place they’re fighting.
