If Title VI protects from Islamophobia as well as antisemitism, then wouldn’t arresting pro-palestinian protestors fall under islamophobia?
Sure, but if the govt just threatens private businesses then they’ll likely never have to follow through. The colleges themselves can and will be the ones to ban all forms of protest, with a wink and a nudge from the govt that it’s just fine.
There might be a bit of performative tut-tutting from the administration when one of the campus cops goes overboard and hurts somebody publicly but remember sweaties, all Brando actually did was dogwhistle ask colleges to crack down on antisemitism. Those colleges or that cop are the ones who went overboard.
