Assuming no one else had anything planned for this Friday Movie Night, 9PM EST (if there is something planned, let me know and I’ll step aside), I’ll put on two movies: first is Robert Altman’s The Long Goodbye (1973), a film-noir based on the book by Raymond Chandler, featuring Elliott Gould as hard-boiled detective Philip Marlowe. It has an extremely Letterboxd rating, and the only other Altman we’ve watched is, uhh, Popeye, so let’s check it out. After that is Another Round (2020), a Danish comedy-drama directed by Thomas Vinterberg (The Celebration [1998], The Hunt [2012]) and starring Mads Mikkelsen as an alcoholic high school teacher who decides to see how drunk he can get while on the job. It also has an excellent Letterboxd rating, so we should give it a spin.

We’ll start at 9PM EST, right here: https://live.hexbear.net/c/movies

Be there, comrades!

Could we possibly also do the Nutty Prof. 2 afterwards? Only if it wouldn’t be a pain, since I know you gotta download and upload the movies.
