If there are no plans for this Friday Movie Night at 9PM EST (let me know if there are and I’ll step aside), then a double feature is coming your way. First up is Sorcerer (1977), which is not a fantasy film, but rather, a highly-acclaimed remake of the classic trucker thriller The Wages of Fear (1953), wherein a team of drivers must transport a large cargo of nitroglycerin through the South American jungle. It is directed by William Friedkin, the guy behind The French Connection and The Exorcist. Critics call it a butt-clencher. Let’s check it out. After that is Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio (2022), his stop-motion-animated darker take on the original novel that transplants the setting to the fascist era. Sounds neat; let’s watch.

We’ll start at 9PM on Hextube, right here: https://live.hexbear.net/c/movies
