I have an f-350 diesel, obviously it takes a bit for the engine to warm up enough to run, but for some reason it takes way longer if I’m trying to reverse. Like today I didn’t let it warm up enough and the engine cut out, never happens if I’m going forward instead of reverse though. Not really a problem at all but I’ve been curious as to why it’s so different.

It was about 50 today when it happened. Normally only happens when left over night but on a few occasions its happened after just a few hours, but I think mostly on real cold days. It’s when I try to give it gas. '03 and I think 5.8
