tl;dr I picked him out of the third floor of a parking garage years ago. He was in pretty bad shape, but over ten years and two continents later he’s doing just fine. He’s very, very sweet and gentle.

Trust is the hardest thing to reclaim once lost, and this isn’t the first break. Big social is having problems, it’s the natural course of things.

No experience is required, just a love of maps and a bit of time when you have it. These communities are pretty easy. :)

I highly, HIGHLY recommend https://kagi.com/. They have a free version with limited searches but nothing compared to it and I quickly shelled out a fiver for the basic sub. It skips the bullshit and you can find everything fast. It also has an academic search toggle which is fantastic and a bunch of other things.
