oh ok so originally it was ‘bad apples spoil the barrel’ meaning if you have a few then the rest will go bad for sure, and now people use it to say if you have 1 bad apple the rest will remain fine if you just remove that 1 bad one, lol, how convenient that it’s now employed to defend the reputation of institutions

The phenomenon of ‘the sycophant’s’ rise to prominence is also interesting, they earned a place next to Elon in this skit after all, the most visible one is Ian Miles Cheong right now I guess, but there were some other ‘exempt from rules’ accounts listed in that leaked list from a few weeks ago. Is he getting paid by Elon at this point? Does any right winger in the US do anything for free?
That whole libertarian SV clique has been making a lot of moves in the last few years, buying influencers and funding politicians, probably smelling that they can ride Trumpism while it’s here to get deeper influence in the Republican party.
Also I wish online comedy people dunked on the other tech people too like Ellison, Bezos, Zuck, Dorsey or whoever else is still out there re-branding themselves, because dunking only on Elon makes it seem like he’s the one bad apple and the rest are good (ie the system is good), but they’re all freaks just some are better at hiding it.
