Yeah man, learning basic definitions and stuff is only for the academic elites. We proles only know how to place square peg in round hole.

BuT hE hAs A pHySiCs DeGrEe!

You know what classes your average classical physics degree doesn’t have? Fucking materials science courses, because that is apprently just for schmucks who deal with the actual industrial applications of technology.

Fuck this is so stupid.

This is actually a huge deal. The proletarianization of the petite bourgeois and their children is accelerating rapidly, and they will only become more fascist in response.

Anti-NATO is quite literally the standard leftist position outside of America and Europe, so for the majority of leftists in the world. If you, you know, actually read some leftist theory and history like we keep telling you to do, you would understand that.

But you don’t. There are comprehensive theory lists on c/theory and c/marxism but those generally aren’t topics that people come in to argue with hexbear about, even though people are always down to clown in that regard, we have had rounds and rounds of debates dedicated to value theory and the elimination of the value form, you just don’t look for that, have seen that, and they are less common now that federation has occured. The people here are dedicated anti-sectarian leftists, and it’s your choice not to see that.

You’re completely ignorant about this instance and are creating windmills to tilt at. You are welcome to tilt at the instance, but pretending that it is something it is not and inventing your own headcanon is legitimately sad.

“Being an academic” requires you to have a doctorate or at least be teaching on your way to a doctorate. Quite literally having a doctorate means that you are qualified to teach your subject within academia, thus rendering you an academic. Mind, this is not academic shit, this is pedantic nerd shit.

I’m not a huge fan of either academics or Hasan, but him not calling himself an academic despite having gone to an elite institution is absolutely the correct take. Which is the problem with Hasan, where most of his takes are good despite his nepotism, overwhelming wealth and completely useless job.

If the choice for ‘Marxism’ is between Hasan and whatever person wrote this essay, I’m sorry but I am choosing Hasan because at least Hasan isn’t doing stupid misrepresentation of arguments (most of the time, his clip on TJ was pretty cringe). Fortunately, this isn’t some sort of binary and there can be nuance where both of Hasan and articles ranting about Hasan are cringe.

I know this is the second time this shit has been posted, but most rail-less nations are not building railroads because they do not have the nessecery capital intensive industry to build railroads, let alone build a poor man’s railroad and then redevelop it, because the world is being purposefully choked of development funds by the IMF and World Bank. God forbid demand gets fulfilled.

This is a longstanding copypasta from r/libertarian or r/ancap I cant remember. It would get posted occasionally back on the old r/cth forum.

TikTok is not bad because of ‘disinformation’, all forms of media are filled with ‘disinformation’ (even academic journals, le gasp). TikTok is bad because it is an incredibly aggressive engagement formula that manipulates you and your psychology.

You should know that, Hank, because so many of your videos follow a format to use that algorithm, but that would be giving up the game as a ‘content creator’.

I don’t think we should be surprised when a succdem does succdem things. Maduro has been increasingly liberalizing the economy and making moves to allow in U.S. capital. I sympathize with his position, as expecting a hardline communist stance ala Cuba in the face of U.S. opposition is incredibly unlikely, given the lack of direct invasion history with the U.S.

However, if the PSUV continues down this line without attempting to ally itself with either Brazil or China, it will actually set itself up for a capitalist coup d’etat. You give the capitalists an inch and they will always take a mile, and Venezuela is no exception, party for socialism or not.
