Just briefly read the wiki on him and he first got into driving them when some workers let him as a kid.

One time he got arrested for having the keys when some workers gave them to him and gave him their shifts??? Also he knows how to operate the trains and follows all the procedures but has gotten rejected when he applies, possibly because of the previous arrests? He was first arrested when he was 15 so I think that has something to do with it.

Also his parents think moving out of NYC would help with resisting the temptation but for parole he isn’t allowed to :/
