A few years back the county metro park authority in Cleveland was donated a suburban golf course, and they transformed it into a park and natural reservation, replacing the turf grasses with native plants /trees/grasses and wetlands.

A lot of people on news website comment forums were unhappy with the change, complaining about how much their taxes would go up, how the loss of the golf course would cause property values in the area to go down and the crime to increase. 10 years later there has been no change in any of those things and the new park has become an asset to the neighborhood.

I mean Little Caesars is shit but they’re cheap, so that makes up for it. Papa John’s on the other hand is more expensive than the other chains around here, but the food quality somehow manages to be at or below that of Little Caesar’s.

“You get what you pay for” does not apply to Papa John’s.

What kind of “American cheese” are we talking? Those individually wrapped slices don’t even count as cheese and nobody puts that shit on pizza anyway.

I’ll go to the mat defending Colby and Monterey though.

When I renewed my license last year they gave me my old one back, but not before running it through this machine that printed a bunch of little holes in it that spelled out “VOID.”

Also that cop was bullshitting. It’s not illegal to carry an expired license on you so long as it’s been defaced (which it already has been since you cut off one of the corners).

I learned a ton of Linux/BSD basics just from experimenting with file server distros like FreeNAS during my college years. I had an old PC with a terabyte of storage (in 2007 that was a lot) that me and my roommates would dump all our torrented movies and TV shows on, and connect our computers to that over the LAN whenever we wanted to watch something.

A buddy of mine had a modded original Xbox with XBMC (the precursor to Kodi) on it, and he had it connected to our server. Seeing those movie files being played on a TV as if they were a DVD was pretty mindblowing in those days.
