Ive always had a running theory that people who dislike cats also have a secret inability to accept the autonomy of women. Like, the whole point of a cat is that they can choose their own terms. They aren’t going to be some weird fucking animal version of a tradwife like dogs kinda are. And hey im not talking ill on dogs, I love most animals except geese. FUCK GEESE.

As for cats being annoying? Cats run around and play fighting/playing, because that’s them training for hunting. If they had another cat around they’d both just practice with each other (assuming they don’t hate each other). Knocking shit off shelves is them learning how the physics of this world works, which is kinda rad, until you start reinforcing the behavior by giving them unintentional attention every time they do it. Cats are rad.

Also the people who post this kinda shit never realize that you can absolutely train your cat. I’m still in the process of clicker training a tortie I adopted last year to fetch balls, mainly because she loves treats but also because she already likes running after balls when I throw them. It’s gonna be sick once she retreives the balls back to me so I can remain doing whatever I’m doing while she works out more energy doing what she already loves.

I wish I could post pictures of her. Im literally a proud catdad because I know that constantly showering her with attention and love means she constantly seeks me out over everyone else in the house to get me to play with her. Almost all my recent phone photos are of her.

Don’t feel too bad man. I knew about Bitcoin before it had any value at all. I mean, this was before the famous trade where a guy gave 10k Bitcoin for a pizza. I decided to figure out how to mine them (which was very easy to do at the time), but ran into some annoyances with creating a dual boot so I could run mining software on Linux.

This is now a funny story my friends tell strangers at parties every time Bitcoin is brought up. My only solace is knowing I never would’ve held onto it past 100$ unless I managed to forget I had it for years.

Why hedge there when you can buy far dated puts on a stupidly overpriced ipo like doordash. These companies that have demonstrably terrible business models that are propped up by vc money are going to crash hard if it all comes tumbling down AND betting on doordash losing value is likely just a sure bet regardless. It’s a safe bet either way. This is the way I’m choosing to hedge my portfolio right now

I saw this. Such a “we did it guys!” Post over literally nothing. WSB has been in the shitter for awhile now though, pretty impossible to dig through all the chaff at this point. Probably means we’re nearing the top but who knows.

Ugh guys there isn’t anything deeper to read here. A lot of epidemiologists have assumed that coronavirus will simply be like the flu. It won’t ever be eradicated and will continue to evolve and change and exist as a seasonal thing. Over the long term it will likely become less lethal. Also, it means that everyone should be prepared to take covid shots along with flu shots every year (please get your vaccines, guys).

As someone whose gone without any form of healthcare for the last 10 years, I feel you. I was obviously aiming that towards those who had the ability to do so.

If your girlfriend knows she is BPD and is on medications/receiving therapy then it’s probably alright. My experience dating someone that I suspect was undiagnosed bpd was fucking awful and I would not ever do it again, though I’ve wondered if I have it in me to date someone who is diagnosed and is properly taking care of their issues.

Anyways, I guess my biggest piece of advice is to remember that you aren’t someone’s saviour/you aren’t responsible for fixing someone else’s bad behavior. I’m not saying BPD people don’t deserve love, but I am cautioning you that if your relationship starts causing you significant mental harm then it’s not wrong to walk away.
