we’re people who are angry at the state of the world right now, but figure its probably the global economic system to blame rather than the two mainstream options: World Bad because not enough female drone pilots, OR World Bad because black people/women. Also we like shitposting.

i dont mean to be a shitty superior european, and i know europe isnt a lot better in some ways, but its hard to articulate the genuine pity and confusion that a lot of people abroad feel about america - even those of us that aren’t Terminally Online Leftist Dipshits. And thats just in the countries that are the most like you, i can’t imagine what people in china/cuba/vietnam etc must think about it. Its fucking WILD the way that capitalism has been allowed to run so rampant that its sending a ‘first world’ country (although i know thats a bullshit term) backwards.

I’m so sorry you, or anyone, has to live like that, without healthcare, or without access to clean water or in the midst of police shootings and regular shootings or any of the other things america is so good at. Its unfathomably fucked.

/end sincereposting

at least everyone in the comments is dragging both biden, warren, and the general sentiment. This cycles seems to have done nothing but make people loath the DNC. you love to see it.

Honestly i always felt shy about posting in the actual subreddit because it felt so perminent and important, like i had to come up with something really worth saying and triple check the wording just to sure i was putting across the right meaning, but the discord was great - it felt so much more casual. If i posted something cringe it would just get swept away, and the reaction buttons let you know immidiately, and without anyone having to really reply, that a joke had landed or people got what you were saying.

I’m dyslexic, so i’m really nervous about being partaking in text-based stuff (and it takes me longer too), but the discord (espescially 1-min gang) helped a lot with that! I barely posted in the sub for fear of not expressing myself right, but it was easy to clarify and chat and such with people in the discord. Less pressure to type whole ass essays, you know?

And it made things kind of personal, like you could keep track of the people you were talking to and actually get to know some people in that sub-community. I recognise people on there in a way i probably won’t here. Like this format of posting i’m sure is better for a lot of people and is probably more informative, but i did love that community and conversation style. I’m glad the discord will be staying up, because i’ll definately be able to be more engaged and more chill by having access to both! And i feel like i’d miss some people, too. All in all, love the discord, sure this will be cool too.

smh, imagine complaining about libs on a chapo community. If you don’t like libs you probably shouldn’t be here buddy 😔😔

i used to like that sub, but yeah, not long before chapo died that place turned. You say a single thing about biden maybe not being a radical leftist savior who’s going to kill racism and suddenly you’re actually the racist for not accepting no change. Like im a foreign, labour-voting woman, and i’ve had someone in that thread insist to my face that i’m actually a MAGA incel in ohio or some shit.

Things are going wrong and the libs really just do not know how to cope lmao.

that sounded pretty badass, “poisons the earth with a plague of men”, so i googled it thinking it either came from some fantasy game or like 1970s new art feminist shit and honestly what the fuck. i hate what you’ve helped me discover.

imagine being able to seperate your general personal feelings from the feelings caused by your material conditions. Its insane to suggest that alienation, 40+ hour weeks, knowing your life is generating someone profit in some way 24/7, and stress about rent/jobs/imperialism/whatever wouldn’t impact your mental health fucking wildly. Chances are, you talking about communism is you talking about your feelings, just in a way that you feel more comfortable with and/or can articulate easier; whether its being upset about the suffering of others, worrying about your immediate future, or stressing over us maybe not having a non-immediate future, your politics and your feelings are probably way more intertwined than you think.
