A local furniture-seller-cum-influencer got featured in a local mag a couple years back. Literally talked about how she lives such an austere life that she doesn’t own any of her own furniture, doesn’t cook, and keeps her shoes in her oven. Not sure if that was meant to be aspirational or what, but it stuck with me.

KF94 all day at work, where maybe 2 other people are still masking. Sometimes upgrade to a N95 on transit or at the grocery store. Most people I know aren’t doing it, sometimes they’ll be successfully shamed if they see me throw a mask on before going into a cafe or whatever and dig one out of their pocket, but really at this point I’m doing it for my own piece of mind. Haven’t caught it (as far as I know) and if I do I want to know it’s not because I decided to pretend it doesn’t exist.

Yeah, it had some fun moments and was very beautifully shot, but was just all over the place tonally. Couldn’t decide what movie it wanted to be, couldn’t figure out how to resolve its characters, then decides to pull the ripcord instead of coming up with a proper ending. I also recently watched Memories of a Murder, Bong Joon-ho’s take on the psycho-sexual murder mystery, and it was also pretty inconsistent in similar ways, so maybe that’s just how it goes for South Korean genre films?
